A pair of $50,000 California Sire Stakes, the $30,000 Alan Horowitz Pace and the $12,500 Stan Bergstein Trot headline a strong 14-race closing night program at Cal Expo.
First post for the Watch and Wager LLC card is 5:40 p.m. and their will be mandatory payouts in all wagers.
The distaff Sire Stakes is headed by the sensational Overthemoonforyou, who has won 13 of her 14 starts at the meet and is looking for a sweep of the big-money events for her division.
The 4-year-old daughter of Karpathian Kid carries the banner of Qks Racing, takes her lessons from Quentin Schneider and will once again have Aaron Lehman at the controls.
Celebrity Status is likewise looking to make a sweep of the Sire Stakes for the males while eyeing his fifth straight trip to the winner’s circlef for Set The Pace Racing LLC and driver/trainer Nick Roland.
Looking at the Horowitz Pace, Allilthundadownunda and Its Pointless have gone several big miles here this season and loom the main opposition.
The Bergstein Trot is headed by Valottalove, who is coming off three straight victories at the head of the class, including the March 21 Gary Budahn for owner/driver/trainer John MacDonald.
